Towards the end of 1993, a jumbo bowl, jumbo cup, and jumbo saucer were modeled and put into production with the factory's general line of hotel/restaurant ware. In autumn 1994, they were added to the Fiesta® assortment. (As a side note, the large pie baker and stacking cereal were also new additions at the time.)
All three pieces were marked with underglaze Homer Laughlin backstamps so they could be used in both lines simultaneously. Otherwise, some would have to be marked Homer Laughlin and others marked Fiesta®.
After the company was reorganized as the Fiesta® Tableware Company in 2020, new FTC backstamps were used.

Jumbo bowls were discontinued in 2025. They can be found in every standard Fiesta color up to and including those from 2025, as well as caramel from Fiesta Mates/Colorations and foundry. Jumbo bowls weren't supposed to be made in sapphire, though some are known to exist. (On the other hand, the jumbo cup and its saucer in sapphire were standard production pieces.)
