Developed on March 17, 2011, the Zen pattern was a clear reactive decal that left a design etched into the glaze. (The same process was used to create the Fiesta® fan, a.k.a. horizon mugs and petware bowls.)
Zen was released into production on May 7, 2011. It was used on fourteen of Homer Laughlin's restaurant ware shapes with four Fiesta® glazes.
Each glaze was given its own treatment number: Zen Tangerine BC-9537, Zen Sunflower BC-9538, Zen Cobalt BC-9539, and Zen Turquoise BC-9540.
The assortment for each line consisted of the following:
- Narrow Rim platter, 11 ⅜"
- Narrow Rim platter, 13 ¾"
- Pasta Bowl, 11"
- Rim Soup, 9"
- Fruit Bowl, 4 ¾"
- Boston Saucer, 6"

Zen is not Fiesta®, but rather its own line. It is included in this section of the website since it uses Fiesta® glazes.
