Vintage Fiesta® Deep Plates
The vintage Fiesta® deep plate was added to the line in the summer of 1936. It was made until the Fiesta® was discontinued in 1973, and in every glaze, including amber from Sheffiled Amberstone.
Deep plates measure roughly 8 ¼" in diameter. They were usually marked with an underglaze backstamp.

Fiesta® Rim Soup and Rim Pasta Bowls
Both the rim soup and the pasta bowl were added to the reissue Fiesta® line in 1990. The 12" pasta bowl was modeled first on January 3, 1990. It was originally called a "large rim soup" before its name was changed to pasta bowl, then rim pasta bowl, and finally wide rim pasta bowl. It was discontinued in 2023.
The rim soup was modeled on March 9, 1990. It is still in production and has been made in every Fiesta® glaze except sapphire and foundry. It is slightly larger than the vintage deep plate, measuring close to 9 inches in diameter.
Telling the difference between the vintage deep plate and the contemporary rim soup is very easy. Just look at the foot: if it has a "dry" or wiped foot, it is contemporary, and if it is "wet" or glazed, then it is vintage.
Rim soups and rim pasta bowls can be found with underglaze markings and date codes.

Geo Rim Soup and Rim Pasta Bowls
Geo pasta bowls were first made in 1999. There were only three: square, triangle, and star. The geo rim soups followed a year later and in the same three shapes. Geo rim soups are 9", and geo rim pasta bowls are 11".
Shown below are the three geo bowls decorated with presidential seals and gold trim.
The geo bowls were made in various Fiesta® glazes. They were marked with a regular Homer Laughlin backstamp.
