Kwaker by Homer Laughlin
The following originally appeared on pages 50-52 of An Overview of Homer Laughlin Dinnerware ©2002,
and is being posted on www.laurelhollowpark.net with permission along with corrections and updates.

The Kwaker shape was first made by Homer Laughlin circa 1916. It was produced until the late 1950s. It started out with a rather extensive assortment, but like the Republic shape, it was cut back to the most basic of serving pieces. The flatware was picked up from Empress. Kwaker hollowware will have distinctive flat top handles and finials. Most pieces are decorated with simple border decal treatments and will be marked with a generic HLC backstamp.
