Canonsburg
[DSN:UNK, NS:CPCO]
This pattern has been found on Homer Laughlin's Century shape. While the pieces were made at the factory, it is most likely they were decorated elsewhere by a smaller firm. Both of the examples shown are marked with 1941 backstamps. The plate was given gold stamps along the rim which was not something the pottery did on the Century shape. Also, the decal on the covered sugar was placed upside down which is another indicator these pieces were probably not decorated at Homer Laughlin.
This decal is called Canonsburg since it was heavily used by the Canonsburg China Company of Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
